第十一屆亞洲電影大獎 得獎名單

(2017年3月22日,香港) 由亞洲電影大獎學院主辦、創意香港及電影發展基金資助的第十一屆亞洲電影大獎,已於昨日(3月21日)假香港文化中心隆重舉行,圓滿結束。來自世界各地多個地區的入圍者及亞洲電影工業的幕前幕後精英,都盛裝出席並賀亞洲電影大獎十一週年。

本年度的得獎者於昨晚逐一揭曉,最佳電影是由馮小剛執導的《我不是潘金蓮》(中國大陸);最佳導演是《哭聲》(南韓)的羅泓軫;淺野忠信憑《奏不響的風琴》(日本)成為最佳男主角,他於年憑《身後戀事》(法國,日本)獲得最佳男配角,連續兩年在亞洲電影大獎獲得殊榮;而最佳女主角則由范冰冰憑《我不是潘金蓮》(中國大陸)奪得;林雪憑《樹大招風》(香港)成為最佳男配角;《下女誘罪》(南韓)的兩位女演員文素利和金泰璃,分別獲得最佳女配角和最佳新演員。

Stars to Light Up Presentation Ceremony at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre

(March 17, 2017, Hong Kong) Organized by the Asian Film Awards Academy (AFA Academy) with the financial support of Create Hong Kong and Hong Kong Film De-velopment Fund, the 11th Asian Film Awards (AFA) will be held on March 21, 2017 (Tuesday) at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre. This year’s jury is led by world-renowned Chinese director JIA Zhangke and Hong Kong actress Karena LAM Ka-yan. The red carpet and award ceremony will be live-broadcast on TVB J2 channel from 18:00 to 22:30.

(March 16, 2017, Hong Kong) Organized by the Asian Film Awards Academy (AFAA), the 11th Asian Film Awards (AFA) proudly announces the legendary Japanese rock musician, Yoshiki, leader of the world-famous band X Japan, as one of our heavyweight performers!

Best known as an all-round musician – classically-trained pianist, conductor, songwriter, and drummer – Yoshiki has contributed to the art of film scoring and composed for several Hollywood movies as well as the theme music for Golden Globes® in 2012. In 2016, the documentary about X Japan, “WE ARE X”, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and won the World Cinema Documentary Special Jury Award for Best Editing.

Previous awardees include Japanese actress NAKATANI Miki (9th AFA) and Malaysian actress Michelle YEOH (7th AFA). The Excellence in Asian Cinema Award aims to highlight distinguished talents and affirm their achievements and contributions to Asian film industry and culture.

(February 28, 2017, Hong Kong) Organized by the Asian Film Awards Academy, the 11th Asian Film Awards (AFA) will present the Lifetime Achievement Award to iconic Hong Kong film director, producer, screenwriter and actor TSUI Hark at the AFA Ceremony on March 21, 2017 (Tuesday) at The Hong Kong Cultural Centre. Previous AFA Lifetime Achievement Award recipients include Hong Kong action choreographer-director YUEN Wo-ping, Korean director IM Kwon-taek, Taiwanese director HOU Hsiao-hsien, Hong Kong Director Ann HUI, Hong Kong producer Raymond CHOW, Indian actor Amitabh BACHCHAN, and Japanese director YAMADA Yoji. The AFA’s Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes film professionals who inspire excellence in others, and in their lifetimes have made fundamental achievements and a lasting impact of outstanding artistic, cultural and commercial significance in Asian cinema.

Nominations Announcement of the 11th Asian Film Awards

(January 11, 2017, Hong Kong) Organized by the Asian Film Awards Academy (“AFA Academy”), the Asian Film Awards (“AFA”) will celebrate its 11th anniversary this year. For this edition, 73 nominations have been made for 15 awards. The nominations represent 34 films from 12 countries. World-renowned Chinese director Mr. JIA Zhangke will serve as this year’s Jury President and lead a jury comprising charismatic celebrity juror Ms. Karena LAM Kar-yan, and respected film industry professionals, festival programmers and critics.

Financially supported by Create Hong Kong and Film Development Fund, the 11th Asian Film Awards will return to Hong Kong on the occasion of the 20th Anniversary of the establishment of the HKSAR Government, and will be held at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre on March 21, 2017 (Tuesday).

Over the past year the AFA Academy has collaborated with different countries and regions to educate and nurture the next generation for the movie industry. It has hosted different activities, such as Masterclasses, Asian Cinerama – Film Roadshows, Journey to the Fest – Student Visit to Film Festivals and Young Film Professionals Program. From Hong Kong to different cities and international film festivals including Tokyo, Busan, Hawaii, Kyoto, Chennai, Taipei, Berlin, etc., the Academy endeavours to promote Asian film industry and culture all over the world.

“Monster Hunt” is the Highest-Grossing Asian Film of 2015 Nominee of the 10th Asian Film Awards’ Best Visual Effects and Best Sound

Monster Hunt has emerged as the highest-grossing Asian film of 2015 and will receive the AFA’s award for Highest-Grossing Asian Film of the year at the 10th Asian Film Awards (AFA) at The Venetian® Macao on March 17, 2016. The film is also competing for the “Best Visual Effects” and “Best Sound” in the coming awards ceremony.

The 3D fantasy adventure film set in a world of humans and monsters is a skillful mix of live action and animation directed by Hong Kong-born Raman HUI who made his reputation in Hollywood with the Shrek franchise for DreamWorks Animation; and produced by Bill KONG, who has scored many successes globally with films such as Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, and renowned film production and costume designer YEE Chung-man. The film also features a star-studded cast from Hong Kong and Mainland China, including BAI Baihe, JING Boran, Eric TSANG Chi-wai, Sandra NG Kwan-yu, JIANG Wu, YAN Ni, TANG Wei, Wallace CHUNG Hon-leung, and YAO Chen.

The director said that the message of his tale of war and love between humans and monsters is "to understand differences, to see the world through others’ eyes and to foster more understanding between people and groups," a theme of acceptance that was welcomed at the box office.

The nominations represent 36 films from 9 countries. World-renowned Hong Kong director Mr. Johnnie TO Kei-fung will serve as this year’s Jury President and lead a jury comprising our two charismatic and popular celebrity jurors, Hong Kong actor Mr. Sean LAU Ching-wan and mainland Chinese actress Ms. GAO Yuanyuan, as well as 12 respected film industry professionals, festival programmers and critics from all over the world.
